About
Rotaract clubs for men and women aged 18-30 foster leadership and
responsible citizenship, encourage high ethical standards in business and
promote international understanding and peace.
A program of Rotary International, Rotaract clubs work under the
guidance of their local Rotary club. The word Rotaract comes from a combination
of the words “Rotary” and “action”. The first officially chartered Rotaract club
was in North Charlotte, North Carolina, in 1968, but clubs of young people
associated in service with local Rotary clubs had existed for several years in
India and Europe.
Today, there are an estimated 149,000 members in 6,447
Rotaract clubs in 154 countries and geographical regions. Clubs draw members
from the community or are organized as an extra-curricular activity for college
students. Rotaractors should be of good standing and reputation in their
communities.
During the week of 13 March, Rotaractors join in a
worldwide celebration of World Rotaract Week. This coincides with the date that
the first Rotaract club was officially certified by Rotary International. In
celebration of this week, Rotaractors plan and carry out service projects and
local events to raise awareness about the club.

GO GO GO!!!
On the 13th of December 2009, the Rotaract Club had a friendly paintball game. It all started with us meeting up in front of KBU International College at 8am. Then we convoy to Canyon Paintball located in The Club which is around 5 mins from the college.

All in all, it was a tiring, FUN and to some, a painful experience.
Pink Bazaar Event

Pink Bazaar Event was held on the 21st November 2009, at KBU International College lobby. This is our very first event, we are planning to sell cupcakes and also henna. Cupcakes were baked by Joan (our International Service Director) We wore PINK tops on that day, in response to the event's main objective - to raise awareness for breast-cancer.
We were told to arrive early but as usual - but no one was punctual. It seemed to be the tradition of us students to be late, lolx. Anyway, after Joan arrived with the 400 vanilla and chocolate flavour cupcakes, the rest of the committee board members helped her with the packaging. The store was set up at the same time.
